All orders are processed within 3 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. However, a pandemic, natural disaster, or other circumstances may interrupt our services or the services of third party suppliers and carriers. During these times, there will be delays with product supply, shipping and courier services from the time you made the online order to the arrival of the parcel which may be longer than expected and even outside delivery services timeframes from services involved in the delivery process. Also, global events, staff shortages and a high volume of orders or postal service problems may impact our processing and delivery timeframes. These problems are outside our control.

We charge a flat rate shipping fee of $10.00 at this time. As follows:

  1. Domestic shipping fees for some book items shipped within New Zealand. The shipping or delivery services are handled via New Zealand Post.

Finally, our shipping fees may change as and when necessary. We recommend that you check the shipping policy for any updates.

Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates

For calculated shipping rates: We are not calculating shipping rates at this time.

For simple flat rate shipping: We charge a simple shipping flat rate of $10.00 for books that are delivered within New Zealand, and this fee will be displayed at checkout.

Local delivery

We sell and deliver books within New Zealand and can take between 3 to a maximum of 45 business days. We allow this length of time in case of natural disasters or global pandemics that might affect services. Once dispatched by our location, the deliveries are handled by New Zealand Post. All items handled by NZ Post have a tracking number available. Please email us on admin@booksforcaterpillars.com if you have not received your purchased item after 10 to 15 days from making an order with us.

In-store pickup

There is no in-store pickup available at this time.

International Shipping

We do not offer international shipping to countries outside New Zealand at this time.

Customs, Duties, Taxes

If there are any issues with customs or unforeseen events which may require investigations by authorities, or the customer order contained items different to what was stated in our orders, then there will be additional costs incurred for any issues arising from discrepancies, suspicious parcels or fraudulent activity.

Your parcel may be subject to import duties and taxes (including GST), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. Books for Caterpillars is not responsible for these charges if they appear, and it will be your responsibility to notify us immediately in order to investigate the delay and open a dispute for either a return or refund.

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which may include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours or more for the tracking information to become available.

If you haven’t received your package within 15 to 20 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at admin@booksforcaterpillars.com with your name, email address, order number, and tracking number so that we can investigate further.

A link for customers to track their order may become available at the time of ordering.

Shipping to P.O. boxes

We do not recommend shipping to PO Boxes, but would encourage customers that they use a physical address for shipping and delivery requirements since our Company can not predict the successful delivery of goods by third-party delivery services and the choices made by their delivery staff.
