A mysterious burst of energy in the sky bestowed unusual abilities upon regular members of the public, who became known as Epics. In response, people who desired to understand and eventually eliminate the Epics researched them deeply. David is among these people, seeking revenge for the death of his father. To avenge his father's death, David embarks on a quest to find the ultimate Epic and bring them to justice with the help of the Reckoners, a group of brave individuals dedicated to fighting Epics and restoring balance to the world.
